Goodnight Tomorrow

Goodnight tomorrow
I won’t let you darken today
For I am blessed
Even as the hours wane
Light has shone
Into the starlit night
And you can’t take it away
My Father is with me
From dawn to dusk each day

This I know as I pray
This I know, You stay
What of tomorrow?
Only the Lord knows

(Only the Lord knows)

Goodnight tomorrow
You can’t hold me now
Goodnight tomorrow
Grace is breaking out
My Father is with me
Through the fire and the gray
Goodnight tomorrow
I’ll face you at daybreak

(Goodnight tomorrow)

I ask for wisdom
And He gives it plenty
In the empty places
He keeps my hands steady
When the fear gets loud
And the road runs thin
I hear mercy call me back
I breathe and trust again

(My hope, my hope)

This I know as I pray
This I know, You stay
What of tomorrow?
Only the Lord knows

(Only the Lord knows)

Goodnight tomorrow
You can’t hold me now
Goodnight tomorrow
Grace is breaking out
My Father is with me
Through the fire and the gray
Goodnight tomorrow
I’ll face you at daybreak

(Goodnight tomorrow)

If shadows come for me
I will not bow
Your hand is over me
Even here, even now
What the night may bring
Will not name my soul
I belong to Jesus
And He makes me whole

(Amen, amen)

Goodnight tomorrow
You can’t hold me now
Goodnight tomorrow
Grace is breaking out
My Father is with me
Through the fire and the gray
Goodnight tomorrow
I’ll challenge you in the morning

(Goodnight tomorrow)
(Ooh, goodnight tomorrow)

Lost in the Tropics

Out on the Peace River
The water is tranquil today
The heat is thick as thieves
And the skeeters are thicker
But there's no place I'd rather be
Driftin' gently toward the sea

Those turquoise blue waters
Meant for me
The Florida sun bronzin' me
I'm feelin' that drift in my bones

I'm gettin' lost in the tropics
I'm gettin' lost in the tropics
Waitin' for a mermaid to find me
(Lost in the tropics)
(Lost in the tropics)

I might be hallucinatin'
This may be a salty dream
She came in on a coastal breeze
Her long flowin' hair teasin' me
I'm gettin' lost in the tropics
I'm gettin' lost in the tropics

Waitin' for a mermaid
To find me
Out on that river bend
I can almost taste the sea

I'm gettin' lost in the tropics
I'm gettin' lost in the tropics
Waitin' for a mermaid to find me
(Lost in the tropics)
(Lost in the tropics)

Out on the Peace River
Odds as slim as a sliver
A tropic queen comes for me
We float together to the sea
Until I wake from a summer dream

I was lost in the tropics
I was lost in the tropics
Where dreams are just dreams
No mermaid queens
I was lost in the tropics
I was lost in the tropics
Waitin' for a mermaid to find me
(Lost in the tropics)
(Lost in the tropics)

On My Way

Leave the light on I'm on my way home
No longer on the run
No more desire to roam

The road has made me weary
Time is passing me by
I'm chasing a theory
You'll look past the bad guy

If I come back to you
Will you open your arms?
Will you accept my word as true?
Free from all alarms

I'm on my way, I'm on my way
Will you accept me?
Will you turn me away?
I promise this to you
I'm back to stay

I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Are you okay If I stay?

I'm trading miles of asphalt
for a dirt country road
The past is all my fault
I'm bringing the love you're owed

I need you to trust in me
Through the fog of memories
I promise not to flee
Hear my final plea

I'm coming back to you
Will you open your arms?
Will you accept my word as true?
I promise you no harm

I'm on my way, I'm on my way
Will you accept me?
Will you turn me away?
I promise this to you
I'm back to stay

I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Are you okay
If I stay?

I've reached my last mile
I can't wait to see your smile
I know it's been a while
This is the longest mile

I won't come up short
You're my last resort
I want to take away your pain
I'll do all that I can

I'm on my way, I'm on my way
Will you accept me?
Will you turn me away?
I promise this to you
I'm back to stay

I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Are you okay?
Can I stay?

Can I stay, can I stay?
Can I stay, can I stay?
I'll get down on my knees
What else can I say?

Can I Get Closer

Sitting on a bridge
In the middle of town
And I saw you drive by
I was chasing you down

Ran after you
Down Main Street
Around the corner
Bare feet on the heat

I saw you laughing
In the rearview mirror
That little wild grin
Cut through me clearer

I caught up
In a dusty lot
Your laughter hit
And it never stopped

It lit me up
From the inside out
Made a lonely man
Want to call you out

Can I get closer?
Can I get closer?
Ooh, baby
Let me in

Can I get closer?
Can I get closer?
Ooh, baby
Let me by your side, girl

You turned around slow
With the sun in your hair
I fumbled my words
Like I didn't care

But my hands knew truth
When they brushed your sleeve
Like the whole damn world
Was learning to breathe

I said I ain't much
But I'm honest tonight
If you want the truth
I'm all in your light

I caught up
In a dusty lot
Your laughter hit
And it never stopped

It lit me up
From the inside out
Made a lonely man
Want to call you out

Can I get closer?
Can I get closer?
Ooh, baby
Let me in

Can I get closer?
Can I get closer?
Ooh, baby
Let me by your side, girl

If you say stay
I'll stay right here
Trade my proud for plain
Trade my fear for near

Let me into your world
Let me by your side, girl
Just one step more
And I won't let go

Can I get closer?
Can I get closer?
Ooh, baby
Let me in

Can I get closer?
Can I get closer?
Ooh, baby
Let me by your side, girl

Time Doesn't Matter to Me

Where have all the good years gone
How many sunrises remain
I'm living my days with questions
I'm living my life without shame

I want to see the entire world
Leave no stones unturned
From the top of the highest mountain
I want to see the valley before I burn

Time doesn't matter to me
I have a whole world to see
I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree
(I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree)

Time doesn't matter to me
I have a whole world to see
I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree
(I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree)

A path to an unknown destination
In the middle of nowhere
Where the deer run free from worry
And I'll feel like I have plenty of time to spare

Time can't hold me back
I won't live under attack
My eyes and heart are on track
For a helluva glorious ride

Time doesn't matter to me
I have a whole world to see
I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree
(I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree)

Time doesn't matter to me
I have a whole world to see
I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree
(I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree)

To a Pacific sunset at high tide
With the salt wind in my eyes
If my boots wear thin along the way
I'll still be smiling come what may

Time doesn't matter to me
I have a whole world to see
I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree
(I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree)

Time doesn't matter to me
I have a whole world to see
I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree
(I'm gonna get lost wild and carefree)

Until the Lord calls for me

Counting Stars

Will you walk with me
From now to eternity?
Will you sing with me
Even if we sing out of key?

You smile at my questions
But I have your attention
Your smile makes me smile
And we laugh for a while

What do you say?
Let's run away,
Settle into an easy pace,
And stare into space,
Counting all of the stars,

Lost in the constellations,
We'll explore our imaginations,
Dream of far off destinations
To continue our celebrations

Fire up the rocket ship
With a kiss from your soft lips
Take off like astronauts
Free from any afterthought

What do you say?
Let's run away,
Settle into an easy pace,
And stare into space,
Counting all of the stars,

We'll drift away in the cosmos
Float to where only God knows
Until we hear the call home
We'll know we can no longer roam

What do you say?
Let's run away,
Settle into an easy pace,
And stare into space,
Counting all of the stars,
Counting on us.

Lost In My Mind

Here comes the thunder
Rolling in like a freight train
In the middle of the night
I'm lost without wonder
My mind is a grind
Like shifting gears on a steep incline
I'm an abandoned runaway
My life is about to completely unwind

Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
I'm running out of time

I need to strangle the darkness
I need to run toward the light
in my greatest of fights
The light will be found in finesse
Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
I'm running out of time

I see you walking away
your glow fading in the distance
I run faster and faster to reach you
I still have something to say

Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
I know I still love you
I still need you
I'm sorry I hurt you
I want to be with you

Help me find my way out
of the darkness of my mind
Help me find my way out
of the darkness of my mind

Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
I know I still love you
I still need you
I'm sorry I hurt you
I want to be with you
Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
I'm running out of time

I'm Not Buried Alive

Pressure on my chest
Breath turns thin and short
The room bends in the corners
Like it’s folding in around me

A ring inside my ears
My face goes pale and cold
I try to reach for something
But my hands won’t even hold

What’s happening to me?
I can’t get a grip
Skin on fire, sweat on my neck
I feel the floor dip

And I swear I’m sinking
Under all this fear
But I’m still here, I’m still here

I’m not buried alive
I’m not buried alive
I’m shaking, but I’m here
I’m shaking, but I’m here

I’m not buried alive
I’m not buried alive
This panic lies
(I’m still alive)

Clammy shirt on my back
Fingers gone to stone
The walls start moving closer
And I hate being alone

My eyes can’t keep the shape
Of anything I knew
I tell myself to breathe now
Like that’s something I can do

What’s happening to me?
My heart won’t stay still
I’m looking at the ceiling
Like it might break my will

But there’s a crack of dawn
Under all this fear
And I’m still here, I’m still here

I’m not buried alive
I’m not buried alive
I’m shaking, but I’m here
I’m shaking, but I’m here

I’m not buried alive
I’m not buried alive
This panic lies
(I’m still alive)

If I can say my name
Then I can stay
If I can feel this pain
Then it will fade

One breath
One more
I’m getting back to shore

I’m not buried alive
I’m not buried alive
I’m shaking, but I’m here
I’m shaking, but I’m here

I’m not buried alive
I’m not buried alive
The dark can rise
(I’m still alive)

Let It All Go

Washed up, left behind
No need for a cup
The bottle works fine
Drowning my sorrow
I have nowhere to go
There is no tomorrow
I'll be a no-show

I'll cast a message to the sea
The story I never told
My hands are full of rust and grief
My heart is taking hold

Cast it out to the sea
Cast it out for me
The tide knows my name
It brings me back the shame
Cast it out to the sea
Cast it out for me
I’m sinking slow and low
I let it all go

My family will all agree
To the Devil my soul was sold
They saw the cracks I tried to hide
They watched me getting cold
I wore my fear like Sunday clothes
I smiled through every lie
Now every road I used to know
Just folds into the sky

I'll cast a message to the sea
The story I never told
My hands are full of rust and grief
My heart is taking hold

Cast it out to the sea
Cast it out for me
The tide knows my name
It brings me back the shame
Cast it out to the sea
Cast it out for me
I’m sinking slow and low
I let it all go

If you find that bottle
Don’t read the stain
There’s a last goodbye
Written in the rain
If you hear me calling
Let the water take
What I couldn’t carry
What I couldn’t fake

Cast it out to the sea
Cast it out for me
The tide knows my name
It brings me back the shame
Cast it out to the sea
Cast it out for me
I’m sinking slow and low
I let it all go

Bad Dream Hauntin'

Startled awake in the middle of the night
Sweat runnin' across my brow
My heart ragin' in my chest
I feel like I'm gonna drown
I toss and turn while the moonlight burns
I can't get this nightmare outta my head
I pray this isn't a premonition
If it is, someone is going to end up dead

Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
I have an instinct to fight
If someone has hurt you
If someone took you away
I'm the nightmare to make them pay

It's 3 am in the mornin'
I'm pacin' a rutt in the floor
Brewin' a black coffee
Beatin' my fist against the door
Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')

Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
I have an instinct to fight
If someone has hurt you
If someone took you away
I'm the nightmare to make them pay

I call your number on the phone
It rings six times before you pick up
Daddy?
Daddy, are you okay?
Everything is fine now, Buttercup.

Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
Bad dream hauntin'
(Bad dream hauntin')
I have an instinct to fight
Thankfully everything's alright
Everything's alright
Everything's alright
